de8 - a male Bavarian voice

I created this voice as a part of my diploma thesis,
which is concerned with building a Text-To-Speech
System for the Bavarian dialect. The thesis was written 
at the TFH Berlin {Technische Fachhochschule Berlin} 
in 2004 with the assistance of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Jörg 
Mixdorff, whom I want to thank for his support.

Initially I tried to replicate the Bavarian dialect
with an existing German phoneme inventory, such as
"de7".  I discovered that unfortunately there are too
many differences between the phones of the Bavarian
dialect and the other German ones to sound realistic.

As the best results I achieved using this method
merely sounded like Germans from the north trying to
speak the Bavarian dialect, I consequently decided to
build my own inventory. I examined the Bavarian
dialect, which is spoken in the city of Wasserburg am
Inn (located approx.  50 km south-east of Munich) 
and the surrounding area.  I found 11 vowels, 
11 diphthongs and 21 consonants or combinations of
consonants, which are listed below. I tried to label
the phones close to the SAMPA-notation, but sometimes
I had to invent my own ‘SAMPA’-Labels.
